#Keepkidsfed atlanta
The Mission
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, our team and Booster Spirit Wear wanted to direct itโs resources toward a group that are most vulnerable to the changes. In Atlanta, there are thousands of students who depend on school lunches to complete a full dayโs meal or to have a meal at all. In partnership with local organizations like No Kid Hungry and GOODR to create the initiative "#KeepKidsFed to help raise funds to provide meals to students that need it the most while schools are closed and lunches are inaccessible.
In contribution to the initiative, I, a member of Booster Spirit Wear team, created simple yet trendy designs for apparel to be sold in an online store. The brief called for 2 designs that can be printed quickly with little production labor, communicate the campaignโs message effectively and most importantly, be attractive to encourage as many purchases from customers/donators. The following designs are the final result of this brief and campaign.
The Process
I felt it was important to create a logo that highlighted the children of Atlanta, seeing as how the campaign partnered with Atlanta based organization and Booster Spirit Wear itself is an Atlanta native company. I also wanted to express the CARE in the icon. This led to a blend of the classic Atlanta peach with a heart as well as said logo merged with a small handprint. Eventually my team and I landed on the slogan โKeep Kids Fedโ which was formally โEvery Child Fedโ to to spearhead the overall design.
We went through an intensive process of playing with different formats, font styles and incorporating various trending design styles. The results after running through different format, color and icon options in the draft
The Final Results
Our team after multiple revisions and iterations, settled on two standout designs that are designed to be simple, effective and to look great on multiple apparel styles and is appealing to multiple age ranges.
